Job Description:

WBUW-CW57 has an immediate opening in our Sales Department for Local, Regional and National Sales Assistant. Individual will work closely with the Station Manager, Local Sales Team, National Sales Manager & Traffic Manager to ensure effective placement of sales activity. Job Responsibilities:

Process Station Sales orders. • Daily Communication with Clients • Communicate with national sales representatives & advertising agencies across the country. • Assist in Billing & Invoicing Station Clients • Manage Programs Descriptions for TV Guides • Develop a thorough understanding of Nielsen ratings, One Domain, Kantar & other research tools. • Expertly utilize programs such as Wide Orbit, Media Line, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. • Assist with political, paid programming & direct response advertising. • Keep progress tabs on various sales initiatives • Assist in the development & coordinating of locally produced programming, organizing & scheduling guests & clients for television show appearances & news interviews • Collect & organize tickers that run on screen during News & Talk Shows • In collaboration with the Management, book Newsmakers & Guests for News & Talk Shows each week • Create rundowns & production packets for News & Talk Shows each week • Follow up with Talent & Guests to make sure they receive & turn in questionnaires for all News & Talk Shows • Work directly with Talent, Clients & Staff to make sure shows run efficiently News • Assist with writing Commercial & Television Show Promotional Scripts • Assist in Managing Station Social Media Platforms, Website & E-Mail Newsletter • Assist with Execution of Television Programming Contracts • Assist with Human Resource Paperwork transferal • Assist in overseeing Person enrolled in Station Internship Programs • Work the Front Desk of the station to greet clients, guests, etc. • Answer Phones, Mail Invoices & other Admin duties

Qualifications & Requirements:

Winning Attitude • Prior administrative experience preferred • Strong verbal & written communication skills are essential. • Must be highly-focused, organized, & detail oriented. • Consistently meet deadlines in a challenging & dynamic environment. • Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers & clients to deliver a high-level of service. • Capable of learning new systems promptly & thoroughly. • Must take pride in work, respond to instruction well, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working independently & perform at a high-level consistently.


Education: • Bachelors or related degree preferred
